Housed inside the former Lorne Street Church dating from 1868, the Campbeltown Heritage Museum provides compelling insights into the cultural, social and economic influences which have shaped the development of this unique town. Standout exhibits include and old fishing skiff, models of how the town used to appear in the early 1900s, antique military uniforms and a mounted golden eagle, one of area’s native species. There are also evocative displays that recreate traditional trades that were once essential to the town which includes the cooper’s workshop.
